after i installed the add on for the log i tried to play 1080p and 4k movies (didnt open it in mpc)
please try to help.
what i did was create a new xml file, name it playercorefactory.xml
put this:

saved it and ran kodi.
do i need to do more stuff?

If you need to change the path of this script you can do it by opening the; xml in your notepad. Download & Install Kodi 17.6 for Windows (Step by Step) How To Install Kodi On Smart TV (LG, Samsung, Sony). To play video in Kodi, simply rename the playercorefactory.xml file (located in C:UsersAppDataRoamingKodiuserdata) to playercorefactory.xml.txt. Note: This method is not 100% effective. The Chrome browser doesn’t play all file types, therefore certain streams will cause the browser to download the movie instead of streaming it.
- I did this once but didn’t care for how it worked. See External players. You can copy the example code and paste it to notepad. Save the notepad document as “playercorefactory.xml” to you userdata folder. Edit the playercorefacto.
- Kodi playercorefactory.xml repo. Pilfer is the new python version of the rip-record script. A set of playercorefactory.xml files for kodi to play videos in an external player or record the video.
